Yes, it seems our dear Professor Crane is giving his usual on fear and its affects. Don't be late for his class, though, or you will be cut completely off guard.
Isn't it a charming picture? Oh, shenanigans.
My friend Foz helped me come up with the scenario, which is a lot funnier than what I had in mind. But it works out.
You see, the girl in the picture is one of his students and she was late to class. So, Crane (being the delightful bastard that he is) gets the class to concoct a brilliant and terrifying prank on the late student.
When she gets to the class room everyone of her fellow students appears to be lying dead on the floor and there seems to be a lot of blood in the room. Crane is at the blackboard looking calm and seems to be continuing on with his lesson.
The student screams and manages to slip and fall due to the "blood". She flounders about, tries to stand up, but falls once again and hits her head on the blackboard--the part that juts out a bit. Now she has a head wound.
Everyone reveals that they're alright and its a prank and then they take her to the hospital.
I think this gets at the heart of something I've noticed about controversial professors: they have fan clubs! There are probably as many students who'll tell you "OMG he's SO COOL I'm taking all of his classes!" as there are students who'll say "OMG he's a FREAK avoid him like the plague!" (Curiously enough, the one I have in mind is actually a psychology professor!) This is an awesome little scenario, I love the fact that he gets the students in on the act - because you know there are going to be students as sick and twisted as we are! I mean, as sick as he is... Anyways, yay class participation!
Yes, very true. XD Crane's a bastard, yet people seem to love him for that and his students are no exception. But most of them are probably still traumatized from his teachings. Especially the poor girl in the picture. She was never the same... lol
Omg the eye!! The shocked expression of the student is priceless XD (though it's no funny joke, no no no no... bad Crane >w<) Besides this, I love how you drew Jon's head and that you added these white strands in his hair. The way you coloured the blackboard and the chalk writing looks great! What kind of colours did you use for this drawing, if I may ask? :3
Well, I used prisma colored markers. The board I think was a light or dark olive green--either one will do. I for the browns it was sienna and dark brown. The chalk was done in white acrylic paint, actually.
As for the grays: Crane was done in warm and some french grays, while the student was done in cool grays.
Ah, I see I don't have any experience with markers yet, but I think are really nice to colour with. I actually got a few for Christmas, so I'm going to practice now
I like the scarecrow drawing on the chalkboard. Most of my teachers were pretty bad at drawing, but that didn’t stop them from occasionally illustrating with blobs and stick figures.
I want to keep what little sanity I have left, thank you! lawl
